The Story Behind the Harmony
At Body Lyrics, every fragrance tells a story, and mine begins long before the first candle was ever poured.
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to two passions: the healing power of aromatherapy and the nurturing qualities of skin and body care. The challenge wasn't discovering what I love, it was finding a meaningful way to blend those passions into something that could bring comfort, peace, and well-being to others.
Looking back, I realize this journey may have always been part of who I am.
As a little girl, I watched my grandmother, affectionately known as Nay-Nay, create home remedies for life's everyday aches and pains using simple ingredients from her kitchen. She believed healing began with love, intention, and what nature provided.
My other grandmother, Momma Lorraine, who celebrated her 104th birthday before peacefully passing away, devoted her life to caring for others. A highly respected midwife in Jackson, Tennessee, she helped deliver more than 200 babies and provided compassionate care to countless families throughout her community. Her legacy of service continues to inspire me every day.
Their wisdom taught me that caring for others isn't simply something you do, it's part of who you are.
Body Lyrics was created from that legacy.
